Macau International Airport
This 24-hour airport offers passenger and cargo airlines, travel organizations, and the air freight industry an efficient alternative hub serving Southern China, Pacific Rim countries and beyond. With Macao well positioned as a preferred entry point to the China market, Macau International Airport provides a convenient connection to the China border, allowing easy access to numerous provinces in southern China. Whether on business or vacation, transit passengers can take advantage of the relaxed and pleasant environment of the transit lounges in the main terminal building. Transit passengers making connecting flights within 24 hours are exempt from the passenger tax.

Customs Requirements
Feel free to carry, without any custom formalities, articles of value not exceeding MOP10,000 which are not included in the list of products or articles subject to tax consumption or pre-authorization.
You may also carry the following items or articles of personal use, which are not subject to licensing and are exempt from, value added tax:
200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250g of tobacco or an assortment of these products not exceeding 250g;
1 liter of wine and 1 liter of spirits;
Clothing articles, jewelry or sport articles;
One camera and five rolls of film, one video camera and two reels of film; one video-cassette recorder; binoculars; one portable musical instrument; one portable record-player and ten records; one portable radio, one tape recorder; one portable typewriter, one portable computer.
Residents of Macau benefit from the same allowances granted to tourists for articles of personal use or which have been declared when leaving the territory.
Baggage Reclaim
After clearing immigration on arrival, you can collect your checked-in baggage in the carousels at the baggage reclaim area. The average luggage unloading time, from aircraft to luggage belt, is nine minutes, and all baggage handling can normally be completed in about 20 minutes. If your luggage has not appeared after 20 minutes, approach the help desk for assistance. Free baggage trolleys are conveniently positioned in the arrival hall and airport entrance, along the main taxi drop-off area.
Immigration Requirements
Arriving passengers must have an authorization to enter the territory or a Diplomatic or Consular Visa, previously obtained. However, this is not required for the holders of the following valid documents:

All passengers wishing to enter Macau must have valid travel documents, with visas where required, and adequate means of subsistence to support their proposed stay and the objectives of the visit or staying in the territory.
"World Service Authority" issued documents are not recognized nor accepted.

Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) or Hong Kong Re-entry Permit, if any of these documents serve for that passenger to enter in Hong Kong.

A. Visas are required by all visitors except:
Residents of Macau;

Nationals of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Tanzania and the United Kingdom (6 months) for a stay up to 90 days;
Nationals of Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kiribati, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Namibia, New Zealand, Philippines, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the United States of America and Uruguay for a stay up to 30 days;
Nationals of China with valid Macau entry/depart documents, including residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas Chinese for a stay of up to 30 days;
The "Hong Kong Identity Card", "Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card" or "Hong Kong Reentry Permit" holders may stay in Macau for a maximum period of one year.
Holders of Diplomatic Passport or "Laissez Passer" issued by the United Nations.
Holders of Consulate/Diplomatic documents issued by the Macau SAR or Hong Kong SAR.
B. Visas can be obtained from the Immigration Services through Embassies/Consulates of the PRC and should be used within the validity, the visa is expired after the valid date.
C. Visas are also available on arrival in Macau at the Immigration Services for a period of 30 days.
There are three types:
Individual - MOP100, for individual traveller for a single stay of up to 30 days in Macau, children under 12 years of age pay MOP50.
Family - MOP200 for couples, husband travelling with wife and or children (under 12 years of age) of same surname or on proof of their relationship.
Group - MOP50 per person for bonafide groups of 10 or more and children aged 12 or under.

Forbidden Items
You are not be allowed to take the following type and/or quantities of articles onto an aircraft cabin:
Firearms including shotguns, air guns, bolt guns, stun guns, flare pistols and starting pistols, replica or imitation firearms, cross bows;
Ammunition, explosive material, including military, commercial or home-made explosive, explosive devices, detonators, smoke cartridges, grenades, mines and other explosive military ordnance, firework, signal flares, replica or imitation explosive material or devices;
Pointed or bladed items made or adapted to cause injury, flick knives, gravity catch knives, stilettos, daggers, kukris, other knives both real or ceremonial with blades of any length or description, including sheath knives, kirpans and skeandhus, open razors, scalpels, ice picks, swords, sword sticks, umbrellas containing sword blades, harpoons, spears or arrows, professional tools, corkscrews, darts, hatchets, hypodermic needles (except as approved for medical purposes), nail clippers with nail file over 6 cm in length (excluding nail file), pointed nail file, pointed scissors, round-ended scissors with blade over 5 cm in length;
Knuckle-dusters, clubs, coshes, rice flails, sticks, hammers, handcuffs, ropes, martial art devices;
Items containing incapacitating substances, including tear gas, mace and phosphorous acids;
Highly inflammable substances more than one lighter or safety matches on person, gasoline, kerosene, lighter fluid or liquids in unmarked bottles;
Gas containers and aerosols with a capacity of more than 500 milliliters and/or total net quantity exceeding two liters, carbon dioxide cartridges, fire extinguishers, oxygen tanks (except as approved for medical purposes);
Corrosive, toxic and infectious substances, caustic materials, insecticides, paint, tear gas;
Magnetized materials;
Radioactive materials.
